Sweet potato and cheese

Peas and potato puree

Baby ratatouille - adults can add grilled potatoes and fish fillet 

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large zucchini, diced
  • 1 large pepper, yellow or red, seeded and diced
  • 1 aubergine, diced
  • 2 tins chopped tomatoes

Method

Lightly fry the onion in the oil, and add all the other vegetables. Stir, cover and turn down the heat, allow to cook until the vegetables are tender. This should take about 30 minutes. Take out 2 to 3 tbsp for your baby and put in a blender or mash to an appropriate consistency for your baby.

Serve with couscous, cooked according to the packet instructions.


Baby chicken casserole - adults can add cheese, pepper, mash potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped finely
  • 4 chicken breasts, skinned and diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 bouquet garni
  • 12 to 14 button mushrooms, wiped and thinly sliced
  • 600ml water
  • 200g frozen peas, thawed

Method

Gently fry the onion and chicken until the chicken is cooked on all sides. Add the carrot, bouquet garni, mushrooms. Stir for a few moments before adding the water. Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes, before adding the peas. Remove the bouquet garni and blend a portion of the casserole to an appropriate consistency for your baby. Serve with rice or crusty wholemeal bread.
